Lavin Law Offices is a Chicago personal injury and wrongful death trial firm.  Its founder, Terrence J. Lavin, is a prominent lawyer in Chicago and a past president of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Society of Trial Lawyers.  The firm concentrates in all manner of personal injury matters, including aviation, automobile, product liability, medical malpractice and workplace accidents.  Mr. Lavin has received a large number of multi-million dollar jury verdicts, many of which established record verdicts in the State of Illinois.  His verdicts include $32.7 million to a woman whose car was hit by a train and a number of large verdicts and settlements in medical malpractice, product liability, automobile and construction cases.  Mr. Lavin is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a former adjunct professor of law at Chicago Kent College of Law where he taught a course in Medical Malpractice Law for nine years.  He has also served in the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and was among bar leaders pushing for reforms in Malpractice and Asbestos litigation.
